Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Precautions

We take our guests' health and safety seriously. Some things that we are doing to minimize risk to our guests include:

  • Following the Best Practices for the Covid-19 reopening plan as recommended by the state of Minnesota.

  • Room keys and receipts will be left outside our office for guests in order to minimize person to person contact.

  • No housekeeping mid-stay. Just call the front desk and let us know what supplies you need and we will place everything outside your door.

  • Virus killing disinfectants used to clean all rooms.

  • Complimentary hand sanitizer for guests available in all rooms.

  • Until the end of May 2021, we will have a 1-day unoccupied gap between most guest stays.

Please give us a call at 218-663-7189 if you have any questions for us relating to our latest policies on the Covid-19 virus.

Our story

Bruce and Sheryl Martinson (pictured here) built Superior Ridge back in 1993 with the help of business partner John Murphy.

A lot has happened in the 27 years since then. Superior Ridge has expanded, adding 2 buildings with 8 motel units, a meeting room building, and a sauna.  The Martinson family has also expanded during this time, doubling in size from a family of 3 to 6 (including the family dog Dakota).

Along with running the resort, Bruce has been involved in local politics for many years and Sheryl teaches at the local pre-school.

Bruce and Sheryl both live onsite at Superior Ridge and are happy to help with any special requests, answer questions about the local area, or simply greet you with a smile as you check in.

Make Superior Ridge your home away from home on your next North Shore vacation.
